Job Title: Kids Minister of Discipleship at St. Johns
Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Kids
Reports to: Sr. Kids Minister
Status: Full-time, exempt
Supervisory Role: Yes
Objective
The Kids Discipleship Minister is responsible for overseeing discipleship in the Eleven22 Kids Ministry at the St. Johns campus and equipping and developing serve staff to execute Eleven22 Kids service gatherings, along with partnering with parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their families.\u00A0
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the discipleship of kids 0-5th grade at the St. Johns campus
- Conduct general ministerial responsibilities alongside the Central Kids Director and ministerial Eleven22 Kids staff to shepherd and care for the Eleven22 families
- Lead in the disciple-making journey of the serve staff through coaching and equipping them with the skills necessary to accomplish the ministry at hand
- Meet weekly with serve staff to pray with, disciple and empower them for ministry
- Oversee care of serve staff to develop a discipleship relationship
- Lead serve staff huddles at each service to educate, inform and inspire serve staff
- Support in planning and executing Eleven22 Kids ministry events
- Help to develop and carry out curriculum for Eleven22 Kids Ministry
- Collaborate with Childcare Ministry to deliver ministry at the local level through the equipping of serve staff
- Partner with parents in raising up the new generation of kids to discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus
- Model discipleship by being a disciple-making disciple
- Carry clear vision, values and culture to serve staff and staff teams
- Other duties as assigned

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
Requires lifting, bending and extended times of being on your feet throughout multiple services.
Ministerial Exception
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti-discrimination laws. Please see the Human Resources Ministry team if you have questions on whether you are subject to the ministerial exception.
