GabeOlaseni0CenterGabeOlaseni0Born in East London, it was only right that Gabe Olaseni returned home to roar for the Lions. Having attended both high school and college in the States, Olaseni went on to spend eight years in Europe – playing in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Turkey. The GB international offers height, physicality, and experience from his time spent overseas. At his previous club, Darüşşafaka, Olaseni racked up 48 appearances whilst averaging an impressive 13.5 points on 56.8% shooting.
JordanTaylor1GuardJordanTaylor1A veteran of 44 EuroCup games, Jordan Taylor arrived in the British capital after having played for some of the most prestigious teams in the world, including Virtus Roma, Limoges, Galatasaray, and recently U-BT Cluj-Napoca. Taylor also played in 26 Euroleague games for LDLC ASVEL and won the 2016 German Cup with Alba Berlin, where he dished out 4 assists en route to victory. The Minnesota native played for the Wisconsin Badgers for four years in the NCAA and received several first and second-team selections. Most notably, the 6’1” 2-way point guard was named to the 2011 Big Ten All-Defensive team.
MoSoluade6ForwardMoSoluade6After climbing through the ranks for England and Great Britain on an international scale, Mo Soluade returned to London in 2022 following successful spells in both Spain and Poland. The 6’5 guard has played in 11 EuroLeague games for Malaga which all came during the 2017/18 campaign. Having worked on his craft away from the British shores, Soluade has shown that he can play at Europe’s highest level.
SamDekker7ForwardSamDekker7The former NBA forward joins the London Lions following incredible spells in Turkey and the NBA. The Wisconsin Badgers alumni was drafted by the Houston Rockets, where he spent 2-years before spending time with the LA Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards. He brings significant top-flight European championship-winning experience, including his time with Bahcesehir, where he won the 2022 FIBA Europe Cup.
ConorMorgan9ForwardConorMorgan9The Irish-Canadian signed for the Lions in the summer of 2023. The 6’9 forward spent six years in his native British Columbia, studying at UBC in Vancouver. In 2018, Morgan made the decision to play in New Zealand – signing for the Southland Sharks. Morgan averaged 15.6 points on over 48% shooting, aiding his team towards their third ever NBL Championship. A year after joining, he joined Joventut Badalona where he remained for three seasons. Morgan then went on to play in Spain, Poland, and Turkey. At his most recent club, Bahçeşehir Koleji, the big man averaged just shy of 11-points on a staggering 49.1% three-point shooting.
LukeNelson10GuardLukeNelson10The Team GB guard joins the London Lions after successful spells across Europes top leagues. In his previous campaign, he averaged 8.3 points, 4 assists and 1 rebound to drive a strong end to the season for Le Portel. Nelson recently played in Team GB's World Cup - European Qualifiers with a notable performance against a strong Latvian side.
KareemQueeley11GuardKareemQueeley11The young point guard joins the London Lions after a spell with top flight Spanish side San Pablo Burgos. The Team GB international was the first first British player to win the Basketball Champions League in 2020. He has represented Team GB across all age levels and made his senior debut during the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 qualifiers.
JoshDjanogly14CenterJoshDjanogly14After discovering his love for basketball at 16-years-old, Djanogly went on to play during his time studying in at McGill University in Canada – learning how to play the game to a high-quality standard. Since then, Josh has played for a number of teams in Germany and Israel. The 6’10 Londoner is known for his elite rebounding, high IQ, and ability to read the game. The center is determined to help the Lions make it to EuroLeague basketball.
Josh Sharma 20CenterJosh Sharma 20The big Stanford Cardinal alumni joins the Lions following spells at top-flight European teams. In his last campaign with Trefl Sopot, Sharma averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds and an assist. Made his debut for the Great Britain national basketball team on Monday, 14th November 2022, against Lativa.
TarikPhillip22GuardTarikPhillip22The high flying shooting guard joins the Lions following spells in Spain, Italy and France. The WVU alumni brings with him years of top flight European experience after campaigns with Turkish side Tofus Bursa and the Italian Umana Reyer Venezia.
CiaranSandy23Wing - GuardCiaranSandy23The Londoner has joined the Lions having played across the pond for seven seasons whilst studying in America. The 6’7 Brit most recently played in NCAA DII for Mercyhurst, accumulating 25-games across his two years in Pennsylvania. Sandy, who predominantly plays on the wing, can also play in the guard position. The Lions have been aided by a player who can provide depth, skill, and versatility to their constantly evolving roster.
MattMorgan30GuardMattMorgan30A player who could soon become a fan favourite at the Copper Box Arena is guard Matt Morgan. In his first year of college, the American stacked up six Ivy League Rookie of the Week honours which set the pace for his successful four years at college. As a sophom*ore, Morgan led the Ivy League in scoring and went on to put up over 2300 points for Cornell. In 2019, he signed for the then NBA Champions, Toronto Raptors. He represented the franchise’s G-League team for two years before playing for Konyaspor and Le Mans in Europe. Most recently, the North Carolina-native was named in the 2023 All-French League Team alongside current NBA superstar, Victor Wembanyama.
Bradley Kaboza31GuardBradley Kaboza31Part of Lions NBL Division One team where he led the team in with 17.1 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 2.7 APG, 41.9% FG, 32.2% 3PG, 81% FT. Kaboza studied with Myerscough College and played for their basketball academy. He returned to play for Barking Abbey Division 1 team in London after a season in Iceland.
DonteGrantham32ForwardDonteGrantham32Clemson alumni Donte Grantham is another talent with pedigree on what is a star-studded Lions roster. The forward went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft but was picked up by the Oklahoma City Thunder on a two-way contract whilst representing their G-League team, Oklahoma City Blue. In 2019, the 6’8 big man signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, which saw him remain in the G-League – playing for the Agua Caliente Clippers. In 2021, Grantham made the move to France to play for Pro B club Champagne Châlons-Reims. A year later, he was playing in France’s top division for SLUC Nancy Basket before signing for the Lions in July 2023.
RemyUdeh33GuardRemyUdeh33Remy’s youth career in basketball began with Cruz Basketball Academy, where he played for two years. He later transitioned into National League teams, Haringey Hawks and Islington Panthers, where he played until he moved on to New City College. From here, Udeh had a direct pathway into the London Lions first team. The guard is known for his athleticism and his work ethic on both ends of the court. With his professional career ahead of him, Remy is looking to take advantage of this huge opportunity to win at the highest possible level.
